🏑From 14 to 19 July 2025 the European Under 17 and Women European Championships took place in Gujan-Mestras (France). It was the third edition of the two WSE European Championships organised in the same week, a great friendship party for the world of Rink Hockey, as it was in the first two editions in Italy and Spain. 37 games were played in a few days, which allowed the declaration of the winners of the two Under 17 tournaments.
🇪🇸 Spain was reconfirmed winner in the women’s under 17 category: the pioneer of the women’s sector has still dictated a very high rhythm that has not given the opponents an escape. Silver for Italy and bronze for France.
🇵🇹 In the Men’s Under 17 category, Portugal has been characterised for the second consecutive time, conquering the 15th title in history. The Gold Medal Final was decided by the penalty shots after a very intense game. Silver for Spain, bronze for Italy.
This edition has showcased the immense passion that even the youngest athletes have for this sport, which draws thousands of spectators to venues across Europe during senior championships. Remarkably, the youth events also see arenas filled to capacity, just like the senior competitions.
Next step, the Under 19 WSE European Championship Men in Viareggio (Italy) from 25 to 30 August, which will anticipate the European Senior championships in Paredes (Portugal).
