The European Women's Rink Hockey Championship will take place between 8 and 13 September 2025, at the Rota dos Móveis Pavilion, in Lordelo, Paredes
The best European rink hockey continues in Paredes. Taking advantage of the logistics of the Men's European Championship, held in Paredes from 1 to 6 September, the WSE is holding the Women's Senior European Championship in the same pavilion.
This is already the 17th edition of the competition. The last one was held in Spain (Olot – 2023) and this is the fifth time it will take place on Portuguese soil (São João da Madeira, Mira, Mealhada and Luso). On one of these four previous occasions, in 1997, in São João da Madeira, Portugal lifted the trophy.
In this 2025 edition, eight teams will be competing, divided into two groups:
Group A: Portugal, Spain, France and Italy
Group B: England, Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands
In terms of historical statistics, Spain is the dominant force in the competition, with eight titles (1995, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2018, 2021, 2023), including seven consecutive titles from 2009 until 2023. In the medal table, Portugal follows with three trophies (1997, 1999, 2001); Italy with two (1991, 1993); Germany (2003, 2007); and France (2005).
