Rollhockey Halle from Seedorf (Uri-Switzerland) opened the U19 WSE Euro competition which brought the first victories. There was anticipation for the first match between Spain and Italy, the European vice-champion against the World vice-champion, but the victory went rather clearly to “La Roja” who did not allow the Italians to enter the match, thanks to the well-known intensity throughout the rink. Two important goals for Saavedra and Moncusi, the two most active offensively, already among the top scorers at Paredes 2021 (U17). Portugal had opened the day with a very large victory against a generous England team who managed to score a goal at the start of the second half. Vaz’s team has already shown that they are among the teams to beat: four goals from Vitor Oliveira and Martim Costa, the two most well-known players of the Portuguese side. A rather clear victory also for the home team, Switzerland, already supported by an important audience at the venue. The Alpine derby was won by the Swiss 7-0, where six players scored, including Scheer scoring two goals. France closed the first matchday with three rather difficult points: 1-1 in the first half against Germany, but in the second half Allannic and Garcia (two goals) decided the winner.
In the second matchday, today 12 September, France-Spain will close the day with the most interesting match between today’s two winners, while Portugal will open in the match against Austria (15:00 CEST). Italy and Germany will be looking for their first victory (17.00)ile home team SWitzeerland will also have to beat England to close the race for second place (19:00)
