The grand final of the WSE Cup will be between two teams who already have a tradition of winning European titles and will arrive at the final confident that they can both win it (start at 12:00 h)
A great statement for Igualada Rigat (six Champions League won) in the first semi-final. Superiority demonstrated from the first minutes of the semi-final, because the home team, supported by the full house (over 2000 people) of Les Comes, already flew to 2-0 thanks to Cervera’s mid-range goal and then scoring a direct shot with Riba, after a blue card of the Italian team. Gerard Riba is again decisive with a direct shot in the 13th minute and only in the final minutes does Gamma Innovation Sarzana manage to score a goal in powerplay with Borsi. The second half, however, is a monologue from Igualada, especially when, after Riba’s goal again, three goals arrive in two and a half minutes which effectively close the match. Cervera, Rouze and Riba’s fourth goal gives the victory and access to the WSE Cup Final, returning to the final of a European competition after 25 years. Llenas also scores the final 8-1 in the final.
The second qualified is Follonica (1 Champions and 1 WSE Cup Victories) winning 5-1 against the title holder.
The first goal was scored by Francesco Banini with a strong shot from the middle of the pitch, but the rest of the first half was characterized by ball possession and many chances by Voltregà Movento Stern, however failing to overcome goalkeeper Barozzi, the best player of the evening. Also in the second half, Voltregà tries in all positions to overcome the Italian defence but the saves of the Italian goalkeeper are decisive. Two offensive breaks by Follonica are decisive for the goals of Federico Pagnini and Davide Banini, both in personal actions inside the area. Voltregà misses a direct shot but shortly afterwards finally manages to breach the Italian goal with captain Vargas. However, it is the moment in which Follonica has several opportunities to close the match and he does so with Pagnini (2 goals) and finally with Davide Banini
