In the last game of the Quarter-finals, Roller Matera won for 3-2 against Esneca Fraga. It was the only match won by the home team of the four quarter-finals which coincides with the first victory of an Italian team in a quarter-final. To decide the match with a powerplay goal from the stick of Maniero 10 minutes from the end, after Fraga had managed to equalize the match twice. In six days the final surrender with the return matches that will be played in Fraga, Coruna, Gijon and Palau de Plegamans, for four matches that will be just as balanced as the first 50 minutes
