The WSE Euro Women Championship will be held from 4 to 9 December 2023 in Olot (Spain) in the rink Josep Jou of Pavelló d’Esports d’Olot, under the organization of RFEP – Real Federación Española de Patinaje. It is the first time that a European Championship arrives in Olot, the extreme northeast of the Catalunya region, an indistinguishable land for world rink hockey. At the foot of the Pyrenees, about 100 km from Barcelona, it will be the fourth time that Oviedo (1995), Alcorcón (2007) and Mieres (2013) will be held in Spain. A city rich in history and internationally known for roller sports, especially for artistic skating, it has already hosted relevant Spanish national levels of both rink hockey and other skating specialties.
There will be seven national teams registered for the 16th edition, the last one at Luso 2021. The participating nations include England, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland.
The championship will be divided into two distinct phases. The group stage will see the teams battle it out to secure the best place in the knockout stage, in a single-round
Group A: France, Italy, Portugal and Spain
Group B: England, Germany and Switzerland
Following the Group Stage, the tournament will enter the Eliminatory Round, where the teams will compete from the Quarter-finals to the Final to earn the best of this championship. The winner of Group A will automatically qualify for the Semi-finals on Friday, while the other six teams will compete for the three places in the Quarter-finals which will be played on Thursday. The European title will be awarded on Saturday evening at 20:30 (CET)
