Many confirmations in the second round of the WSE Champions League Men, but also some surprises. The biggest surprise was the victory of Tomar IPT against Porto Fidelidadde 5-3 (twice from the stick of the argentinian Ferruccio) which mixed up the cards of Group C. In the same group, Hockey Trissino won in a comeback against Finques Prats Lleida 8-4 where the best scorer was Giulio Cocco with 4 goals, equalizing Porto’s points. In Group D Oliveirense Simoldes remains alone in first place after the comeback victory at SCRA Saint-Omer 4-2. The French remain at 3 points, while Valongo Colquimica and Amatori Wasken Lodi gained their first point with a 2-2 draw.
In Group A, Barça and Barcelos take a clear lead over the competition, confirming their first victory and signing another even more convincing one. Barcelos won in La Coruna 4-2, while Barça won in Italy at Centro Porsche Firenze VH Forte, with two more goals from Bargallo. In Group B, Parlem Calafell won the Catalan “derby” against Reus Deportiu Virginias 4-1, also reaching three points like Sporting and Benfica who will play for public safety reasons on 17 January 2024. Among the top scorers there is Giulio Cocco with 6 goals and Joao Rodrigues with 5.
