The second matchday was marked by two away wins by Generali Palau Plegamans and Benfica. The two Iberian champions prevailed respectively 4-2 and 0-12 in the two away games on Portuguese and French soil. The match of the European champions was more complicated, winning in comeback after the 1-0 of Feira, under the shots of Florenza (2 goals), Colomer and Puigdueta. The Portuguese national team Teixeira scored for the Portuguese team. Benfica won their debut with the result of 12-0 in the Nantes rink: three players with three goals, Marlene Sousa, Flores and Santos. Martinelia Manlleu concludes the first round with the second consecutive victory against the French side Noisy Le Grand, with the final result of 13-0. Three goals from the young Garciolo and the expert Castellvi and braces from Comas and Lopez. Very hard-fought match in Italy: Valdagno however fails to exploit in their home rink, after the initial 2-0, and succumbs in the second half under the goals of the forwards of Coutras, Clevers and Cumella, two goals each. The French conquer three fundamental points to enter the second phase.
The third matchday will follow in two weeks, the last of the first round with two very important matches. Benfica-Cerdanyola, both with 3 points and Generali-Vilasana, that is the eternal challenge also in the Spanish league, also with three points each in the standings. For the other two Spaniards Telecable Gijon and Liceo, two away games in France, the first at Coutras and the second at Noisy.
