The victory of the first European championship belongs to Portugal. A final where the Portuguese coach Antunes gave the best of their repertoire scoring the result right from the first minutes. Moreira (2 times) and Silva put Portugal up 3-0 but the English Cannizzo reduced it to 3-1 before the break. Then in the second half Three goals from Silva (four total) make the score 6-1 then Teixeira scores the last goal. In the third-quarter final, Italy beat Germany 2-1. An intense match as has often happened in this European championship, but it was the Italian team who had the upper hand with two captain Orsato in the second half. In the final, Germany also scored with Weigert.
