Portugal is the first finalist of 1st Under 17 WSE Euro Women. England-Italy will decide the other finalist

An extremely balanced match between France and England, where the French had managed to stay ahead for a large period of the first half thanks to Tremblay’s goal. The English captain takes charge of both equalizing at 1-1 but equalizing the second half 2-2 and scoring the winning goal with 13 seconds left, marking the second victory and with an unbeaten role in view of the last match tomorrow against Italy who will decide the second finalist for the gold medal final. Portugal imposed, as in the previous day’s match, their pace and intensity from the first minute. Two goals by the captain Beatriz Silva made the difference, two high-quality goals, which allowed the Antunes team to manage optimally throughout the match. The goal tally reaches 8-0, the most important result of the entire women’s tournament: twice goals for Fernandes, Silva and Machado and goals for Teixeira and Folgado. The three points of the Lusitanians allow them to rise in the standings to first place together with England, overtaking Italy together. If Portugal are ahead in the standings, they will have a match against France (tomorrow at 17:00) but at this point England-Italy will be decisive for progressing to the final. Whoever wins is sure of the final while the tie will reward the English (tomorrow at 19:00)
