Portugal is the new European Champions of Under 17 Men

The Big Final of the Under 17 WSE European Championship did not skimp on emotions from the first minutes, when a quick move by Orus managed to pass the Portuguese barrier. A physically demanding final in the scorching heat present in the Olot stadium, but Portugal managed to equalize in the 12th minute with Joao Almeida’s mid-range shot. Portugal is more reactive in the second half and takes the lead with top scorer Martim Nunes in close range. Nunes himself doubles the lead with the help of Tomas Almeida and Andre Aaraujo, bringing the gap to an unattainable limit for Spain who closes the gap with Sama. The victory is Portuguese after 7 years and reaching 14 European category titles

Italy is confirmed for the fifth consecutive time as third place. The Bronze medal arrived only in the last seconds of the last overtime, after having led the game twice. France remained close to their opponents but were unable to recover at the last finish line. The decisive goal was scored by Pesavento.
A goal from Winkler at the start of the first half was enough to earn fifth place. A personal action that decided the match, despite Switzerland trying in every way, orphaned by an injured player. The German defense did not allow the Swiss equalizer.
In seventh place is England, who won 3-0 against Austria, ranked eighth. The English only certified seventh position halfway through the second half when they managed to score the two decisive goals for Kerry and Darbyshire after Allen’s goal at the end of the first half.
