It’s time for confirmations on the penultimate day of the WSE Champions League Women’s group stage. The three teams already qualified for the quarter-finals, Generali Palau, Martinelia Manlleu and Benfica, have the finish line of first place in the last match of the group stage. The European champions will be engaged against Academico Da Feira, defeated 4-2 in the first match. Martinelia Manlleu will be in France, at Noisy Le Grand, defeated 13-0 in the first match. Benfica, on the other hand, will host the French side Nantes, when they won 12-0 in the match in France. The Portuguese already have the certainty of being first in the standings while the two Spanish teams not yet. Instead everything is still open between Coutras and Valdagno. The French won 3-2 in Italy and need only a tie to reach the quarter-finals, while the Italians will need to at least win to be able to seek qualification.
