Spain, Portugal, Germany and Switzerland achieve the first victory in U17 WSE Euro

Four teams took the first three points in the first round of the Under 17 Men European Championship. In Group B, Switzerland and Germany advance in the standings, winners of the two morning games against England and Andorra respectively. Switzerland grabbed all three points by beating England 4-1 thanks to two goals from Dysli and Pahud. Germany, on the other hand, created a clearer victory against Andorra, already certifying it in the first half. Three goals for Florian Keil and two for Halekk and Haubrock. Instead, in Group A, Spain and Portugal are already leading on equal points. Spain was the most convincing: 10-0 the result against France in a one-sided match where captain Pau Andreu excelled, author of four goals, two for Hidalgo and one for Bou, Gabarro, Molera and Moreno . A hard-fought match instead in the last match: in front of an audience of over 500 people, the match ends 2-0 in favor of the Lusitanians. Portugal kept up the pace from the first minute but found Italian goalkeeper Mugnaini building up against his goal, saving countless balls. Only Duarte after 30 minutes manages to score the opening goal from a penalty shot. Italy misses two direct free shots, but Portugal prevails by scoring the second goal in empty net in the last seconds. Spain and Portugal will already contest the leadership of the group this evening at 17:00. Switzerland and Germany, on the other hand, will be able to confirm their lead against Andorra and England in the first two matches of the day (10 and 12). France-Italy at 21 will close another very intense day.
