On the last day of qualifying, three very intense matches, ended with three victories. Germany secured top spot in Group B, winning 2-1 against a stiff England team. Cardoso’s team managed to equalize through McCarthy after Seidler’s first goal. The Germans win 2-1 on a direct shot from Seidler again and gain six points in the standings, ahead of Switzerland and England. Portugal signs their first victory against France. A very good performance in the first half driven by Sousa and Santos who scored two goals. In the second half, France contained the Portuguese and maintained their four-goal deficit. Last intense game between Italy and Spain which was worth first place. The “Azzurre” team took the lead with Tamiozzo’s mid-range shot, equalized after a few minutes by Puigdueta’s tap-in. At least five poles were hit by Spain, in a very fast and precise game which once again found numerous saves from Caretta. Two close goals in the last 2 minutes scored by Florenza and Colomer decided the match in favor of Spain, assisted by a large number of people in the stands. Spain won the Group A with 9 points and they are qualified directly to the Semifinal Sara Roces is again the top scorer with 6 and in second place Florenza with 5.
