In the first round of the qualifying matches of the WSE Champions League Women, the two teams of Esneca Fraga and Remscheid won. A double 5-2 that must be preserved in the match in about ten days in Germany and Italy respectively. In the match in Spain, two goals from Sanjurjo decided the match, while in Germany there were two goals from Behrendt.
The WSE Champions League Men also begins in a few hours with the first qualifying round. Four venues will host the four groups which will reward the top two classified with the second round (3-4-5 November) and the last two (or one) classified with the qualifying round in the WSE Cup (10-11-12 November). Group B and Group C which will be played respectively in France at Noisy Le Grand and in Spain at Igualada, are made up of four teams each. In France, the Portuguese Tomar (semifinalists of the WSE Champions League 21-22), Edilfox Grosseto (1/16 round WSE Cup 22-23), RESG Walsum (Qual.round WSE Cup 22-23) and home will compete for the two places CS Noisy team (WSE Cup Qual.round 22-23). In Group C the Spanish hosts Igualada Rigat (quarter-finals WSE Cup 22-23), the Italians Gamma Innovation Sarzana (Group phase WSECLM 22-23 and two finals WSE Cup), and the English Kings Lynn (qual.round WSE Cup 22-23) and the Swiss new entry for the European Competitions, Thurnerstern.
Group A and Group D are made up of three teams (in these cases the last one classified will be qualified for the qualifying round of WSE Cup): the first will be played in La Roche Sur Yon (France) and will be made up of the hosts La Vendeenne (1/16 round WSE Cup 22-23), the Italians of Follonica Hockey (quarter-final WSE Cup 22-23) and the Germans of Germany Herringen (1/16 round WSE Cup 22-23). Group D will be hosted by Coutras (France) and will include the hosts Coutras (WSE Cup semi-finalist 22-23), the Spanish Finques Prats Lleida (WSE Cup semi-finalist 22-23) and the Italians Valdagno (1/ 8 rounds WSE Cup 22-23).
