The Final Four of the 47th edition of the WSE Cup Men is set to start in Lleida.
It is the fourth time the Catalan city of Lleida has hosted the final stage of the second-tier European men’s competition. The home team, Pons Lleida, will be looking to win the cup to become the first European club to win four WSE Cups (2018, 2019, and 2021). Talent is one of the main characteristics of this final four, with many young hockey players eager to take centre stage. The Italian side Monza also returns to a final phase after 37 years, when the former HC Monza won the CERS Cup (1989). Calafell also wants to repeat its success after the victory in 2022 in Paredes and will face the Portuguese newcomer Juventude de Pacense in the semi-final, marking the club’s first-ever final four appearance since its founding in 1972.
All the ingredients are there for a truly wide-open WSE Cup final phase. On Friday at 19:15, the official presentation will take place directly from the Pavelló Onze de Setembre rink. All matches will be broadcast on television on the Esport3 and Lleida TV channels and streamed live on World Skate Europe TV.
