Three teams conquer the first victory of the european championship

In the first round, three of the most anticipated teams secured victories. The standout match featured a rematch of the last final between Spain and Italy, which Spain won 3-1. They built their lead in the first half with two goals from Vila. The host team, Portugal, delivered a commanding 9-0 win over England, with Araujo scoring four goals. Additionally, France triumphed over Germany with a score of 6-3, thanks to four goals from their captain, Cayol. The second day will showcase a direct clash for the top spot between Portugal and the defeated Italy at 19:30. The day’s schedule will begin with the Spain vs. Germany match at 11:30, followed by France vs. England at 15:30.
