WSE Champions League Men’s Qualifying Round Kicks Off This Weekend

This weekend marks the start of the WSE Champions League Men, with the Qualifying Round, where 14 teams, divided into four groups, will compete for the last four spots in the Group Stage. Each group winner will secure a place in the next round, joining the previously qualified teams in their respective groups. 

The structure is set as follows: 

Group 1: CP Voltregà Movento Stern, Follonica Hockey, Reus Deportiu Virginias, SK Germania Herringen

Group 2: La Vendeenne, OC Barcelos, Sporting CP 

Group 3: RHC Diessbach, Parlem Calafell, Riba d’Ave HC/CSJ Group, AD Valongo/Colquímica

Group 4: HC Dinan Quevert Team Cordon, Hocket Sarzana, SC Tomar 

Winners of Groups 1 and 2 will enter Group A, joining FC Porto/Fidelidade, CE Noia, Barça, and Saint-Omer. 

Winners of Groups 3 and 4 will secure their places in Group B, alongside SL Benfica, Trissino, UD Oliveirense/Simoldes, and HC Liceo.

For the remaining teams, there are additional opportunities to advance in European competition. Teams finishing second and third in each group will proceed to the WSE Cup Round of 16, while fourth-placed teams will advance to the WSE Trophy quarter-finals.
