Group A monopolizes the semi-finals of WSE Euro Women, winning all three matches scheduled in the Quarter Finals, confirming the result of the last 4 Europeans. The most balanced match was France-Germany, with a 0-0 score in the first half. In the second half, a goal from Fay and Husson decided the match, even though Germany had several opportunities to reopen the match. Portugal won 6-1 against Switzerland but the first half ended 1-1. The superiority of the Lusitanians with many opportunities saved by Iseli, but only one goal from Moncovio immediately equalized by Schuler’s goal. The second half, however, changes the score and Portugal qualifies for the Semifinal with a 5-0 partial. Two goals overall for Moncovio, then goals from Santos, Silva, Sousa and Ferreira. Italy’s last quarter-final was easier then the other and in the first half led with a 5-0 result. A large victory for 8-1 allowed Elena Tamiozzo to score 5 goals and therefore be the new top scorer of the tournament with 8 goals against the 6 of Sara Roces (Spain).
The group to define the position from 5th to 7th place will begin with Germany against Switzerland at 15:30, then continue on Saturday at 09:00 with Switzerland-England and at 15:30 England-Germany.
